This park is huge, it's actually the 3rd largest in the city. There are two large lakes you can fish in and a boathouse too with a large pier and boat dock. Bring bread for the ducks if you like. The playground is fairly large, and has 2 large play structures and a swing area. There are 2 baby swings, and 4 sling swings. There is also a unique teeter totter close to here. I didn't go in the bathrooms but they are close by. The playground is partly shaded with lots of seating. There is a horseshoe pit nearby and you could hear them hitting each other. There are tons of pretty paths here and there is a YMCA rec plex (with swimming pool) in the park as well.

Thank you Angie for this review and the photos!

Throughout 2014, Carondelet Park is host to one of the 250 fiberglass cakes that have been placed around St. Louis in honor of St. Louis' 250th birthday! This art installation is called the "Cakeway to the West."
