McEntee Memorial Park, Kirkwood

Location:  131 W Madison Avenue (at the corner of S. Clay), Kirkwood, MO 63122

Amenities: playground, gazebo, and picnic site

Website: https://www.kirkwoodparksandrec.org/Home/Components/FacilityDirectory/FacilityDirectory/34/444

Playground ground cover: poured rubber

This small park is within walking distance from downtown Kirkwood and has a small playground, but the best part of it is its proximity to the railroad tracks which run thru the heart of Kirkwood. You can get up-close views of the trains as they pass by from the park. It's also next door to the police department.

The playground is best for younger children. There's a merry-go-round, a small slide structure, bouncy cars, and 2 baby swings.

  1. This park was definitely not one id return to. My toddler age 2 was run off the merry go round by a huge group of teens with an adult. When I explained that it was a 2-5 playground she didn't seem to mind her cursing and violent teens throwing things from said merry go round. It also needs a fence. Not impressed
