Myseum, Town and Country

Location:  283 Lamp and Lantern Village, Town and Country, MO 63017

Website: www.stlmyseum.com

At the end of September 2012, this children's museum opened in West County.

Myseum is a fun place to take your children of all ages for a fun day out. It's part Science Center and part Magic House. It has some of the same exhibits they do. If your child can walk, then there are things for them to do. Myseum is filled with a large bounce house, a blown-up maze, a slide with a radar gun that will clock their speed, lots of science experiments, and much more.

They have a room full of different stuffed animals with veterinary equipment so children can take care of them as well as a music room with instruments made out of everyday objects.

They have a separate toddler area which is filled with a bounce house, chalk, building sets, train tables, magnatiles, and more.

One of our favorite exhibits is the swamp room where they have pool noodles hung and you can run through them.

What is really nice about Myseum is when you pay you can stay all day. This includes being able to leave for lunch and come back in. A downfall to Myseum is you are not allowed to bring food in and it can be a little expensive to get in. Children one year and under are free. But they do sell lots of snacks and you can order food in.

If you are taking more than one child and need a stroller there is a lot of open space to maneuver around. Remember to have socks for your children because there are no shoes allowed in some exhibits.

Overall I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun place to let your children burn off some energy.

Kids love playing in these cages!

Tall slide where they can clock their speed

Big 'swamp' made out of pool noodles. So fun to get lost in!

Magnetic sand is so fun!

Party room

In the back, you can see the interactive screen. It's so cool because they have different "games" you can do. One is where blobs fall down and you can split them in half with your hand or a pool noodle. Another one has all these tiny balls falling and you can put a pool noodle up on the screen and the balls will interact with the noodle and pile up and then fall off or change direction depending on how you manipulate it. They also have wind tunnels and kids can put scarves in there and watch them fly up and spin around.

These huge Legos are always a hit with my kids. They build houses and play in them.

Big UFO inflatable maze that's dark inside.

They have a great gift shop and sell some snacks.

In late 2020, they added a Tesla coil. Take a listen and see if you recognize the music.

Tables at the front where you can sit and eat or hang out.
