River Rapids Waterpark, Ste. Genevieve

Location: 21390 Highway 32, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670    573-883-5244

Website: https://www.riverrapidswaterpark.com/

This waterpark opened in July 2019 and is a state-of-the-art facility. It's located at the Ste. Genevieve County Community Center. There is also an amazing all-inclusive playground here themed like a farm. You could easily make a day of it!

When you first enter they will measure your kids and if they're at least 48" they will get a bracelet so they can do all the slides. They made me remove my earrings and necklace so I wouldn't scratch them up.

Amenities include:

Slides
1.)Tube slide- 48" Launch yourself into a 340’ long thrill in our tube slide! This fully-enclosed adventure is full of twists and turns, ending up with a splash down beside our Lazy River.
2.) 4-lane mat racer- 48" Grab a mat and get ready for a speedy trip down 250’ of sliding fun. Will you be the first to the finish line?
3.)Body slide- 48" a 311’ twisting thriller that only requires you to be bold enough to step up!
4.)Speed slide- 48" See how quickly you can get to the bottom!

Kid Zone
Two enclosed slides are great for the bold ones while we have two small racing slides, too. Tubes, sprayers, splashing spots, water guns… This place is pretty much a fortress of awesomeness! Stick around in the right spot, and we might just dump a bucket on you. Our Kid Zone is a zero-entry area, as well, meaning it’s easily accessible by all. No steps or stairs to trip up those little feet as they enter the area.

Elements in the kid zone include:
Two 32″ enclosed body slides
Leaky wheels
Rainbow arch jet
Clusters of deck bubblers
Fabric canopy
Pipe fall arms
Overhead tippy bucket
Swivel shower head
Hose jets, arch jets and wave jets
Water bomb
Overhead tippy troughs with pull ropes
Bubble window
Cargo climbing net
Mushroom spray
Pedestal blasters
Water worm
Dual racer kiddie slide
Circular tippy
Arching deck jets
Aqua dome
Water tunnel
Flower spray
Spray hoops
Up jets, down jets and radial jets

Separate from the kiddie pool is another little wading pool with pop jets

Lazy River
Kick back in the Lazy River and take a cruise around our 450’ long journey through the whole park. Featuring a Zero Entry (beach entry) area and two walkouts along the way, the Lazy River is easily accessible and a great way to relax. The Lazy River features a 34’ Water Walk. The water walk features floatables anchored to the bottom of the river with a netting hanging over, challenging you with a precarious walk across the water. There’s also a wave-generating area for a little ocean front-style fun! The Lazy River surrounds an area loaded with loungers and shaded spots, which make for a great place to relax.

This cement tunnel is where the waves are generated. It was super cool to float down a lazy river with waves!

We spent the most time in this area right here. It's got zero entry with lots of different sprayers and even a small bucket, but it's separate from the kid's pool.  It went to about 3 feet deep and had a vortex on the other side. The current was really strong in there!

They call this a water walk, but I think most people recognize it as a lily pad walk.

Lap Pool
Our Lap Pool features six lap lanes, great for exercising as well as just swimming fun! Take a shot at conquering the wall, with a satisfying splash when you’re done, or fly through the air for an epic splashdown! We also have a 1m spring diving board in the lap pool. The original plans called for a zip line but I never saw one. Not sure if that is still in the cards or not.

They alternate between the diving board and climbing wall time. Every 30 minutes they switch. So if you see a chair on the diving board it's because it's rock wall time. They will blow the whistle at you if you try to climb the wall when it's not time.

Cafe menu

Ste. Genevieve is a very cute town and I'm glad we made the trek out there. It was a bit of a drive but we loved the park and pool. Next time we come back we plan to check out Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary. There is also a McDonald's with an outdoor play place down the street.
