Moody Park (Longacre Park) playground was renovated in 2015. It's huge and has something for everyone. There is a large play structure with 5 different slides, maze boards, stepping stones, climbers, animals trackers, steering wheels, and lots of bars and poles. The new equipment is nature themed. An 8-foot-tall concrete tree with a tree house is the focal point with slides and swings literally branching off the concrete tree. There is also a 5-by-5-foot concrete “anthill” for climbing and a 3-by-6-foot concrete “log” that children can crawl through.
Rope walks designed to look like trees.
There is a modified expression swing, a baby swing, and 4 sling swings.
There are an additional 2 baby swings in a different area.
Lots of climbers
Dragonfly themed teeter totter
Tic Tac Toe board
Rogue duck
Cool stairs inside the tree trunk
There are 2 pavilions and a restroom building located adjacent to the playground.
Free little library
There is a lovely lake next to the playground. Also be sure and check out the storybook walk.
There are also another smaller playground in the park (you'll pass it on the way to the big playground). It has slides, a small tunnel, a speaker, and an activity board.
