Northwoods Park, Northwoods

Location: 4608 Oakridge Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63121

Website:  None

Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber

Northwoods is a tiny municipality of 4k people. I'm guessing that this park is called Northwoods, since there's no website, I don't even know the proper name. It's behind the police department on Oakridge. Take the road around the ball field and you'll come to the playground. They replaced the playground in 2025, and it's much better. This park also has a fitness trail, a baseball field named Woody Williams Field, and an interesting dead splash pad.

Baseball field. There are restrooms in the pavilion building.

Walking path into the woods

3 sling swings and 1 broken one

This used to be a splash pad, but it's been disabled.

Basketball court in the back

The playground has a large play structure that has a slide, drums, a curved rock wall, a little bridge, and some bars and poles.

Northwest Jefferson County Sports Complex, House Springs

Location: 4900 Byrnesville Rd, House Springs, MO 63051

Playground Ground Cover: Wood Chips

This is a great playground! We're so glad we discovered it and have another great playground to add to the rotation.

This is a big complex, they have a four-plex of softball fields (two lighted fields), a half-mile walking track around the field's perimeter, and a state-of-the-art 6,300-foot playground, with play areas for ages 2-5 and 5-12.  In addition, a new pavilion, complete with a parking lot, is available for public use.  They also have a state-of-the-art concrete skate park.

The playground has 4 sling swings, 2 baby swings, musical instruments, two 3 story slides, a spinning seat, rock walls, and a big variety of bars and poles. There are plenty of benches but no shade at all.
