Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

As of late 2022, everything here is brand new. The old playground wasn't even old and was in great condition, but this playground is much nicer, and is inclusive for everyone!

This playground is just west of the Rec Plex.  If you look at this map it's circled in red.

New restrooms that are open during winter (yay!).

Spencer Creek is easily accessible from the playground.

The playground is completely enclosed with a fence.

Brand new covered pavilion next to the playground.

This playground has everything you could ever want. There are lots of maze boards and gears on the equipment. There's a rolley slide, a caterpillar to climb on, a rocking boat, an amazing zipline, musical equipment, things that spin, and even a creek.

Musical instruments

Modified teeter-totter

The zipline has a high back seat and a regular seat for standing or sitting.

There are 2 adaptive swings, a sling swing, and a baby swing.

2 saucer swings

Cool bench

Cool stumps to climb

The large play structure features a tree house design with slides, ramps, and various boards.

The merry-go-round is built into the ground so it's accessible to everyone

Love the accessible ramps

This playground is connected to the Rec Plex via a nice walking trail that goes past the gazebo and lake.  In 2024 a sensory trail was added, and it is super interesting! It's right behind the playground so you can't miss it. It's very shaded as it's in the woods and there are lots of interesting things to explore. There are plaques everywhere explaining what you are seeing.

This hand pump makes the water come out to the shallow creek and there are dams and other things to manipulate the water.

The creek is full of junk and tree limbs but it's easily accessible from the trail.
