The Village of Twin Oaks is a tiny municipality with a population of 392! This park is right in the center of the village and is a hidden gem. So hidden in fact that it's a pedestrian park with no parking lot. You can park on the street outside the park (Twin Oaks Ct), and only handicapped parking is allowed inside the park boundaries (marked with signs).  From the street, there is a paved, fairly level walkway to the playground and lake. The other way to get to this park is to park in the Twin Oaks Presbyterian parking lot and walk down the path to the stairs in the woods. HOWEVER, it should be noted that the church does NOT allow parking here when school/church is in session. They will tow you so park at your own risk!

The playground was renovated in the summer of 2011. It has separate toddler and school-aged playgrounds, with slides and lots of unique features - rope climbers, a zip line, a roller slide, spring toys, rocks, and xylophones (which have the notes for a song above them - however the song has notes in it that are not on the xylophone). There are 2 sling swings, an adaptive swing, and a baby swing. There are shade structures over the playground equipment that do help shade somewhat.

The park also has a large lake with a path around it, bridges, waterfalls, and bright orange koi fish in the lake. There is a sand volleyball court next to the playground and the kids love playing in the sand.

You can fish here but it is catch and release. All fish must be returned alive to the lake.

Path from the church down to the playground. Don't go this way if you have a stroller!

The playground comes into sight when you are halfway down the stairs

Nice covered pavilion

Restrooms are right at the playground and are beautifully landscaped

Another covered pavilion

I guess this is broken

Zipline

Sand volleyball court

Unique climbing ramp with rope to pull yourself up

Gorgeous lake!

This is the playground that is next to the church. Again I would only recommend playing here when the church/school is not in session.

Modified merry-go-round, sling swings, and a tire swing

This playground is best suited for kids over 5. There are tall climbing structures, tunnels, rock wall, slides, stepping stones, and tons of bars and poles.

Rope cube!

If you're looking for a beautiful, clean, quaint park, this one is for you. It's just gorgeous. One last thing- here is a map of the church and side streets to help you find it because i frequently hear from people that they don't know where it is. You can park on Twin oaks Ct. which is next to 141 on the right and walk up the street to Ann and follow the signs in to the park. This is a farther walk but is flat. You can also park in the church parking lot in the upper left corner and follow the path down the steps to the park. This is closer and less of a walk but there are stairs involved. Enjoy!
