Koch Park, Florissant

Location: 305 Howdershell, Florissant, MO 63031

*note: this park has a sign when you enter that reads "resident card required." We were not asked by anyone for a resident card when we visited the park*

Amenities: playground, picnic shelters, community center, sand volleyball, handball courts, tennis courts, outdoor pool

Website: http://www.florissantmo.com/egov/apps/locations/facilities.egov?view=detail&id=21

Pool Website: http://www.florissantmo.com/Parks/outdoor.shtml

Playground ground cover: wood chips, sand under swings

Koch park has 2 separate play structures with several slides and 2 baby swings and 6 regular swings (4 of the swings are near the pool). The park is empty during the week, but a little busy on the weekends. The playground equipment is in good shape but there is some graffiti in the park, and it could use some more wood chips.

  1. Koch Park is a very busy place during the summer. Florissant has a summer day camp program which is very popular. The campers get to use all of the facilities with supervision. In the evening, many ball leagues use the fields, so the park is crowded.
