Rayburn Park, Crestwood

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

The old playground just had a merry-go-round, a slide, and a swing. It's much better now! The playground was installed in the summer of 2019. There are 2 sections, the first one you come to is for kids over 5 and then if you go up the hill and around the corner you'll see another playground for younger kids. The first playground features the COOLEST swing I have ever seen, it's called a Gravity Rail. There is one play structure with 2 ramps for the swing, a tic-tac-toe board, 2 drums, 2 slides, and a spider web climber. There are a couple benches to sit on and it's partially shaded as well.

Here is the video of the swing, it's so cool! I've never seen a swing like this in St. Louis. Be careful with little kids though, this thing is heavy and I saw quite a few kids fall down while trying to pull it all the way to the top of the ramp. It usually took at least 2 kids or an adult to get it up there. The swing is like a sling swing combined with a zip line, and it goes around in a big loop.

The second playground up the hill features a play structure, an expression swing, a modified merry-go-round, a spinning seat, and a play structure.

There is one adaptive swing, an expression swing, and 2 sling swings.

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

This is a very small pocket park that was replaced in mid 2024. There is just one play structure. There are no bathrooms.

The play structure has slides, a climbing wall, a tunnel, a bridge, a pretend window, and some bars and poles.
