Drewel Park, Eureka

Amenities: Playground, Picnic Shelter/Pavilion, handball court, tennis court, basketball court, sand volleyball courts

Website: http://www.eureka.mo.us/departments/parks-recreation/park-locations-amenities/

Playground ground cover: poured rubber and wood chips

This is a great inclusive playground. It's tucked in a neighborhood subdivision and has many amenities in addition to the playground. The playground itself looks relatively new and is in great condition. There is a baby area and a bigger structure. The baby area has a log that you can climb on, a slide, a steering wheel, and a little rock climber. The bigger structure features 2 slides, ramps, and a circular spider web-looking climber. The entire structure is made to look like a tree house. There are 3 sling swings, 2 baby swings, and 1 adaptive swing. There are also some mushroom stools to sit on and a bunch of benches. The restrooms are clean and has a drinking fountain. The sand volleyball court would be fun to play in as well for little guys.

They have 2 large pavilions next to the playground

Legion Park, Eureka

Location: 333 Bald Hill Rd., Eureka, MO 63025

Website: http://www.eureka.mo.us/departments/parks-recreation/park-locations-amenities/

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

This park has a new playground as of June 2018. There are lots of big umbrellas over it so it's partly shady as well. The only negative is that the restrooms are in the community center, and if that's closed you'll have to go across the street to Lions Park and that's a bit of a walk for little ones.

There is one play structure, and it's got ramps, so it's accessible to everyone. It has bridges, slides, fun activity boards, a rocking boat, rock walls, pretend storefronts, and more. What a great addition to Eureka and a huge improvement over the playground that used to be here!

The old community center is in this park. The Timbers of Eureka is the new rec center, but they still use this building for lots of community events and classes. There are also ball fields here.
