Lewis and Clark Boat House and Museum, St. Charles

Location: 1050 S. Riverside Dr., St. Charles, MO 63301

Website: https://lewisandclarkboathouse.org/

According to the website, "We are a living, working museum. The Lewis and Clark Boat House and Museum brings the remarkable journey of 1803-06 to life at our riverfront base of operations in historic St. Charles, Missouri. And we share the story of the Expedition at destinations throughout the Midwest via our unique traveling fleet of replica boats and our experienced corps of re-enactors, the Discovery Expedition of St. Charles.

A must-see destination on the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail, the Boat House and Museum features full-size operational replicas of the boats used by Lewis & Clark, displays focused on the expedition and local wildlife and has engaging activities for kids, including a scavenger hunt and quiz. We show the National Geographic film about the expedition and have a large, interesting gift shop. Stay for a while and enjoy our spectacular view of the Missouri River and the nature trail. We are just steps from Historic Main Street St. Charles and the Katy Trail State Park."

The view of the river is nice, my daughter and I enjoyed the garden outside and watching a barge float down the river.
