McEntee Memorial Park, Kirkwood

photo credit: google maps street view

Location:
131 W Madison Avenue (at the corner of S Clay), Kirkwood, MO 63122

Amenities: playground, gazebo and picnic site

Website: http://www.kirkwoodmo.org/content/City-Departments/1814/parks.aspx

Playground ground cover: poured rubber

This small park is walking distance from downtown Kirkwood, and has a small playground, but the best part of it is its proximity to the railroad tracks which run thru the heart of Kirkwood. You can get up close views of the trains as they pass by from the park.

The playground is best for younger children. There's a merry-go-round, a small slide structure, bouncy cars and 2 baby swings.

  1. This park was definitely not one id return to. My toddler age 2 was run off the merry go round by a huge group of teens with an adult. When I explained that it was a 2-5 playground she didn't seem to mind her cursing and violent teens throwing things from said merry go round. It also needs a fence. Not impressed
