Greg Freeman Park, St. Louis City

Location: Des Peres Ave and Kingsbury Aves, St. Louis, MO 63112

Website: https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/parks/parks/browse-parks/view-park.cfm?parkID=100&parkName=Greg%20Freeman%20Park

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

The park was named after Greg Freeman, a St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer who was beloved throughout the city. This was done in August, 2009 after he died in 2002. It's a small park but it's completely enclosed with a latching gate! This park is one of 3 in the Skinker DeBaliviere neighborhood and they have concerts on the stage next to the park in the summer.

This playground only has one play structure but it's a good size. It has a bridge, tons of bars and poles, and some slides. There are some benches but no restrooms or drinking fountains. However there is Joe's Cafe around the corner with a huge chicken out front that may have restrooms (plus a photo op).
