Kinetic Park, Dardenne Prairie

Location: 7801 Hwy N, Dardenne Prairie, MO 63368

Website: https://www.sccmo.org/741/Kinetic-Park

Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber

Honestly, there's not much of a playground here. It's just a spiderweb-style climber. This park is better known for other things, mainly the skate park. The 25-acre park formerly known as youth Activity Park (YAP) is taking "extreme" sports to the next level with its state-of-the-art 33,000-square foot skate course! This course is equipped with nighttime lighting and has beginner, intermediate and advanced bowls, a street course, and a snake run scattered with ramps, gaps, hubbas and much more!

The course is open year-round to users of all ages, skateboards, inline skates, scooters, and BMX bikes can ride throughout the concrete facility that offers challenges for every skill level. Helmets are required for all extreme sports enthusiasts using the skate course. Designed to provide a safe place for area youth to enjoy an assortment of alternative recreational opportunities, it's also the largest outdoor skate park in the state of Missouri.

In addition to the skate course, the facility also features a 30-foot indoor rock climbing wall, a sand volleyball court, half-court basketball, an open play area, table tennis, foosball table, air hockey, and a large video gaming area equipped with 2 flat-screen televisions. Reserve an area of the indoor complex for the next birthday party, company picnic, or family function. Skate School 101 and 102 sessions are led by skilled skate instructors throughout the year, and the staff host an annual Night of Fright haunted house during October.

This is the playground, there is an awning but it just covers the benches.

Kinetic Park’s 33,000-square-foot concrete skate course is the largest in the state. It offers beginner, intermediate and advanced bowls, a street course, and a snake run scattered with ramps, gaps, hubbas, and more. It’s open year-round to all ages, for skateboards, inline skates, scooters, and bikes. Nighttime lighting means fun in the evening hours as well!

The pump track is the largest asphalt track in the entire country!

This park is awesome, and it's free and open to the general public. There are restrooms and a covered pavilion right next to it, but the restrooms are closed for the winter. (They brought in a port a potty but I'm not sure how long it will be there). Beware of mud- I took my daughter a couple days after heavy rain and there was a lot of mud from the bike tires in the back of our SUV!

To see more photos and bikers in action check out their Facebook page. What a great addition to Eureka! My daughter loved riding her bike here and watching older kids do jumps and tricks.

Brown Road Park, St. Peters

Location: 100 Brown Rd, St. Peters, MO 63376

Website: http://www.stpetersmo.net/st-peters-parks.aspx#brownroad

Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber

The St. Peters website says there is a playground here, but there is not. There are only 4 sling swings and that's it. However, it's worth including because it is one of the few places in St. Louis that has sanctioned BMX tracks.
