O'Connor Park, Bridgeton

Location: 12798 Hemet Ln, Bridgeton, MO 63044

Website: https://www.bridgetonmo.com/458/Parks

Playground Ground Cover: Wood Chips

This playground is large and includes 2 huge play structures. There are no swings. There is a pavilion and a restroom building but it's a bit of a walk to get there.

This park is in the Carrollton subdivision which was destroyed for the airport expansion which never happened. The whole area was razed and just sits there vacant. It's a bit eerie.

Usually, one play structure is for littles and one for big kids but honestly, both of these look like they're for big kids. The yellow one has a couple slides and various bars and poles. The green one has 3 slides, and various bars and poles.

You can see the restroom building and pavilion in the distance

Matthews Park, Bridgeton

Location: 11099 Ayrshire Dr, Bridgeton, MO 63044

Website: https://www.bridgetonmo.com/facilities/facility/details/Matthews-Park-15

Playground Ground Cover: Wood Chips

I didn't see any signage for the park except for the small street sign. The park has a great playground though! There are bathrooms and a pavilion nearby. There are 2 sling swings and 2 play structures. The smaller one has 2 slides and a tic tac toe board. It's closest to the restrooms. The larger play structure has 6 slides, bridges, tunnels, tic tac toe boards, pretend store counter, and tons of various bars and poles.

Entrance to the small creek right on the playground

Here is a map of the park, and I circled the creek. It is not a real creek that is listed on a map, and it doesn't appear to be sewage or anything, so I am not sure why this water is there or if it's safe to play in.
