Taylor Park, Clayton

Location: 222 N. Central Ave, Clayton, MO 63105

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

From the website:

This one-acre park is located in the Old Town Neighborhood, at the northern city limits of Clayton.
On the Central Avenue side, gardens with seasonal color welcome visitors to the park. A circular sidewalk flanked by benches leads to a charming gazebo dedicated to Mrs. Kitty Hoblitzelle and a large playground for preschoolers. To the east, there is a level, open area to play in, lovely shade gardens, and picnic tables under a canopy of large oaks where visitors can enjoy their lunch.
Taylor Park offers a wide expanse of open lawn that runs nearly a block in length on the Kingsbury side, where picnics and games are a common occurrence.  Play structures for ages 2 to 5 on the North Central side include a climbing set, swings, a slide, and more.  The park hosts visitors of all ages who find something to enjoy, whether it be history, horticulture, or just having fun."

This playground was remodeled in 2016 and is so much nicer! It's very toddler-friendly with a fence running almost all the way around it, and lots of things for little guys between 2 and 5 to do.

There are 2 slings and 2 baby swings. The baby swings are covered on the other end of the playground.

There are ramps everywhere, making this a great playground for kids of all abilities.

The play structure has a bunch of maze boards, a tunnel, slides, a rock wall, lots of bars and poles, ramps, and a bridge.

Large green space for running around

Here is my list of other playgrounds that are enclosed or fenced in.

DeMun Park, Clayton

Location: 810 DeMun Ave, Clayton, MO 63105

Playground ground cover: Wood chips

This is a small little neighborhood playground in Clayton. I like it because it's fenced in and the equipment is all small so it's perfect for toddlers. There are drinking fountains and restrooms. It is also right next door to an adorable candy shop.

Clayton replaced the play equipment in the summer of 2019. The park is shaped like a long rectangle with 2 separate play areas, one at each end of the park. I have seen kids on their bikes and riding toys on the paths that connect the two.

The play structure for little guys has a couple of slides, some free-standing maze boards, 2 sling swings, 1 baby swing, and an adorable little Kaldi's playhouse.

On the other end of the park is the play equipment for kids over 5. The play structure has a rolly slide, a climbing boulder, a regular slide, a pretend window, and some monkey bars.  There are 2 sling swings and 1 baby swing. There are several musical instruments, including two drums and a xylophone.  They also have some stepping stones and a forked balance beam.

Cute flower bed in the corner.

Tiny little picnic tables!
