Emerick Sports Complex, Wood River IL

This 8-acre complex is located on the North End of Sixth Street at Park Lane. The highlight for the children is the playground. This colorful addition has plenty to keep kids entertained for hours. This complex is the site of our Men’s Softball League and our summer youth league games. This facility contains three lighted softball diamonds and one baseball diamond. There is a concession stand and a lake for fishing. The park is named after Leroy Emerick who spent 37 years as director of parks and rec. This playground was installed and dedicated in 2019.

The play structure is huge and features several slides, a rock wall, floating steps, a climbing net, a spinner, and monkey bars.

They have all the swings here, including a saucer swing, 2 expression swings, and 2 sling swings.

Eise Park, Maryland Heights

This is a nice little neighborhood park. The splash pad has a variety of different sprayers. It's set back a little bit from the playground, and you can see the basketball court in the background behind the splash pad. The playground features 2 baby swings, 2 sling swings, a teeter-totter, a spinning pole, and a play structure. The structure has several slides, a tunnel, a rock wall, and a bridge. There is a small pavilion and a restroom building nearby. 

 

Edmundson Park, Edmundson

Location: 4440 Holman Lane, Edmundson, MO 63134

Amenities: playground, exercise trail, bandstand, restrooms, gazebo, pavilion, splashpad, and 1/4 mile walking trail.

Edmundson Park is located adjacent to the police department.  This is a small municipality in north county close to the airport. It is worth the drive though, especially for the splash pad and fitness stations.

A lot of people look for a splash pad that isn't on concrete. This fits the bill!

It's great because of the variety of pop jets, cannons, and sprayers that it has.

If you live in North County (or even if you don't!) you won't be disappointed with this playground and splash pad! The restrooms are right there and clean as well. 

Another cool feature of this park is a very extensive fitness trail with instructions at each station.
