Logan Park, Chesterfield

Location: 1859 Schoettler Rd., Chesterfield, MO 63017

Website: https://www.chesterfield.mo.us/logan-parks-updates.html

Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber

This playground is the newest one in Chesterfield, and it opened in mid-2023. It features a playground, pickleball courts, a storybook walk, a pavilion, and restrooms. There's also a walking trail but I don't know how long it is, as it isn't noted on the website. It's named after Logan University who donated the land for it.

The play structure has slides, a rock wall, a baby swing, 2 sling swings, a modified merry-go-round, a hammock, a webbed climber, and slides. I like that the benches have umbrellas over them.

Lockwood Park, Webster Groves

Location:  912 Newport Ave., Webster Groves, MO 63119

Website: https://www.webstergrovesmo.gov/179/Lockwood-Park

Playground Ground Cover: Wood chips

This park is unique in that the equipment is spread out along a beautiful path. It's also known as Explorers Park, features a 1.5-acre prairie, shortleaf pine forest, cypress grove, playground, with climbers, spinners, a musical play node, and fire pit along a ¼ mile walking trail. This is a perfect park for a toddler! There is plenty of parking in the lot, it's nowhere near a road, and the equipment is great for little guys. Just wish they had a restroom.

The play structure has several slides, a small tunnel, and a maze board. There are also 2 baby swings a table and chairs, and a spinning seat.

Legion Park, Eureka

Location: 333 Bald Hill Rd., Eureka, MO 63025

Website: http://www.eureka.mo.us/departments/parks-recreation/park-locations-amenities/

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

This park has a new playground as of June 2018. There are lots of big umbrellas over it so it's partly shady as well. The only negative is that the restrooms are in the community center and if that's closed you'll have to go across the street to Lions Park and that's a bit of a walk for little ones.

There is one play structure and it's got ramps so it's accessible to everyone. It has bridges, slides, fun activity boards, a rocking boat, rock walls, pretend storefronts, and more. What a great addition to Eureka and a huge improvement over the playground that used to be here!

The old community center is in this park. The Timbers of Eureka is the new rec center but they still use this building for lots of community events and classes. There are also ball fields here as well.
