Rotary Park, Foristell

Location: 2577 W. Meyer Rd., Foristell, MO 63348

Website: http://www.wentzvillemo.org/departments/parks_and_recreation/find_a_park.php

Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber

Amenities:
  • Ampitheater
  • Cattlemen's Association Pavilion
  • Community Club Pavilion (Upper Area)
  • Kolb Exhibit Hall
  • Lions Club Pavilion (Lower Area)
  • Playground
  • Pedestrian Trail (1.3 miles, non-motorized)
This is a huge park and hosts the Renaissance Fair and St. Charles County Fair every year. I'm confused about why it's considered Foristell because it's clearly in Wentzville and under the Wentzville's Parks and Rec listing.

This lake is stocked with fish and many people enjoy fishing here.

Ampitheatre

The playground is just average. It has 2 baby swings and 2 sling swings. There is one play structure designed for kids aged 2-12.

The play structure has tunnels, slides, pretend storefronts, chain climbers, a steering wheel, and lots of bars and poles.

Jake's Field of Dreams Playground in Heartland Park, Wentzville

Location: 100 William Dierberg Dr, Wentzville, MO 63385

Playground Ground Cover: Rubber mats

Jake's Field of Dreams is the latest playground from the amazing Unlimited Play company.  It's all sports themed and it's amazing. It's also enclosed with a fence which is always great.

"At an early age, Jake was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which causes severe muscle weakness and worsens quickly. He was 19 when he passed away in 2012.

“He always wanted to play sports,” said Amie Bossi, Unlimited Play development director.

Jake’s spirit — and love for sports — will live on forever. Unlimited Play, a non-profit organization based in St. Charles County, is currently in the final stages of fundraising to build an all-inclusive playground in Wentzville. Named Jake’s Field of Dreams, it will be located at Heartland Park, located at 100 William Dierberg Dr.

The design of the playground recognizes Jake’s love of sports. Some of the features include a replica of a baseball field, climbing bars that mimic a football helmet and a zip line between two football goal posts." (Quoted from this article.)

The entrance to the park includes a mister

There are 2 ziplines, one for kids who can sit or stand on the disk, and one seat style for kids to sit back and enjoy.

Lots of musical instruments covered by awnings

Both of the play structures have ramps. This one is for the younger kids and has steering wheels, slides, and some activity boards.

Rolley slide

Large play structure with many unique features. It's made to look like Busch Stadium and includes a scavenger hunt which is awesome!
