MacKenzie Park, MacKenzie

Location: MacKenzie and Holly Hills, MacKenzie, MO 63123

Website: https://stlouiscountymo.gov/st-louis-county-departments/parks/places/

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

This is a small playground that is perfect for toddlers. MacKenzie is a tiny municipality near Affton and Shrewsbury with a population of 134 so if you blink you'll miss it. If you're heading South on MacKenzie turn onto Holly Hills and it's right there.

The play structure has slides, steering wheels, pretend storefronts, and chain climbers.

I've included a map because there is another park 1 street over called MacKenzie Hills Park.  Let's just make things confusing for everyone and name the 2 parks almost identical names! I prefer this park to that one because it's totally shaded by trees which is rare. It's on a residential street so there's no parking lot but plenty of street parking. In addition to the playground, there is a small basketball court and a little free library. I just wish there was a bathroom!

Meacham Memorial Park, Kirkwood

Location: 340 S. New York St., Kirkwood, MO 63122

Website: https://www.kirkwoodparksandrec.org/Home/Components/FacilityDirectory/FacilityDirectory/24/444

Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber

This is a great playground. It even has a splash pad. It used to have a variety of sprayers and pop jets but now they've turned it into just a pole.  They also have an enclosed basketball court, 2 baby swings, 2 sling swings, a rock wall, a unique climbing structure, slides, tic tac toe boards, a nice pavilion with bathrooms, and more.

Meadowlark Park, Ellisville

Location: The end of Clayton Oaks Drive at Virginia, Ellisville, MO 63011

Website: http://www.ellisville.mo.us/199/Facility-Rentals-Parks-Trails

Playground ground cover: Poured rubber

Meadowlark is a little neighborhood park that was completely renovated in 2019. This was the old playground.

The new playground is a huge improvement, but alas there still is no restroom. There is one large play structure and it has a rock wall, a webbed twisted climber, several slides, a gear board, a tunnel, and various bars and poles.

There are 2 baby swings, 2 sling swings, and a cool double swing.
