Central Park, Wood River, IL

Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber and astroturf


This park has a bandshell, playground, and large activity center commonly referred to as the “Round House.”  This playground is very big with a 2 story play structure best suited for older kids. There is also some cool ninja equipment here on Astroturf. 




The playground has ramps, slides, interactive boards, floating steps, a steering wheel, and drums.

Wood River Skate Park, Wood River, IL

Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber

This park is 43 acres that contains two lighted regulation soccer fields, one unlighted practice soccer field, a walking path, a playground, a skateboard park, ample parking, a concession stand, stadium bleachers to view the playing fields, and a picnic shelter.  The park is open daily from dawn to dusk. 



There are 4 sling wings, 1 ADA swing, and 1 baby swing.



The play structure has a little rock wall, drums, slides, a tic-tac-toe board, a steering wheel, a bridge, and monkey bars. 











The skate park is over the hill from the playground. It features three 4-foot ramps, one 3-foot ramp, a launch ramp, pump hips, rails, a spine, and a mini half-pipe.

Milton Park, Alton

This is a very small park that was created in 2024. It has one picnic table and a small play structure. There are also 4 sling swings.

Castlepoint Park, St. Louis County





Location: 2645 Baroness Dr., St. Louis, MO 63136


Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber

Amenities: Playgrounds, trails, basketball, horseshoe pits, volleyball, hopscotch, a reservable shelter, and a splashpad.



This splash pad is small, featuring about six jets that shoot up to varying heights. The button to turn it on is right next to it in the restroom building.




 There is a walking trail here with workout equipment along the way. 


                                

                                

Pavilion


The playground was replaced in late 2025, and there is a play structure for kids over 5, and one for kids under 5. 


The smaller play structure has a tunnel, slides, and maze boards. 




The larger play structure has a lot of monkey bars, stepping stones, slides, and interactive boards.

There is a baby swing, an adaptive swing, and 2 sling swings.
