Brad L. Schultz, Jr. Memorial Park, Village of Riverview

Location: 10045 Toelle Ln., Riverview, MO 63137

Website: https://cityofriverviewmo.org/parks-and-recreation/

Playground Ground Cover: Wood chips

This is a very small park with older equipment. It's named after a police officer who was killed in the line of duty in 2004. There is a stand-alone metal slide, and a play structure for littles and one for bigs. The park has playground equipment, a pavilion, picnic tables, benches, and a water fountain. There are no restrooms which is a bummer. The smaller play structure has a steering wheel and a slide. The larger one has ramps, a pretend window, some slides, and a tic-tac-toe board.

Bissell Hills Park, Bellefontaine Neighbors

Location: 10237 Ashbrook Dr., Bellefontaine Neighbors, MO 63137

Website: https://www.cityofbn.com/departments/parks-and-recreation/park-reservations/bissell-hills-park

Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber

This is an old playground and there are no bathrooms right now. The park is currently under construction. The City of Bellefontaine Neighbors received a grant for $420,000.00 for the renovation of Bissell Hills Park from the Municipal Park Grant Commission. For the last 3 years the City’s Parks and Recreation Board and the community have worked with SWT Design on the renovation of its park and recreation facilities and finished the Master Plan of Bissell Hills Park in 2016. This is a matching grant and the City is supplying in-kind labor and money towards the project. The first phase of the project is the demolition of the tennis courts, ball fields, restrooms and shelter. Once complete, a new shelter and restrooms will be constructed and some trails through the park along with landscaping will be installed. The play ground will remain the same. The time line on the project is having a contractor selected by June, begin work in July and the first phase of the project completed by the end of the year.

There is one big play structure, and it has several slides, a maze wall, and lots of bars and poles.

Area that will have the new bathrooms and pavilion.

There are 2 bucket swings and 2 sling swings. The poured rubber needs to be replaced.
