Sunny Jim Bottomley Park, Sullivan

Location: 305 Fisher Dr., Sullivan, MO 63080

Website: http://www.sullivan.mo.us/departments/parks_and_recreation/route_66_splash_park.php

It's a bit of a drive to Sullivan but if you combine this with some other attractions in Sullivan you can make it a day trip. This splash pad is located within the Sunny Jim Bottomley Park. Also in this park is a pool, skate park, playground, tennis courts, ball fields, and a roller skating rink.  This park is named after Jim Bottomley who was a pro baseball player. He was nicknamed Sunny because of his cheerful disposition. He played for the Cincinatti Reds, St. Louis Browns and Cardinals. This park has it all but the splash pad is the highlight in my opinion! If your kids like the movie Cars and/or water, they will love this splash pad, called the Route 66 Splash Park.

There are buckets that dump water, water guns you can shoot each other with, and tons of bubblers, sprayers, and jets.

The splash pad is circled in red at the lower right bottom corner.
The pool and playground are in the center.

Overhead photo of the park. It's not slippery and the astroturf is nice on the feet. There are 2 covered pavilions right next to the splash pad and restrooms are a short walk to the ball fields.

Here are photos of the pool. It's a big square with a water slide. There is also a separate baby pool with a water umbrella. They are open 12-6 daily and the prices can't be beat. Kids are $3 and adults are $4.75. Kids under 2 are free.

Here is the playground. It's pretty large with fun for all ages.

Bouncy things

The playground for kids under 5 has stepping stones, a maze wall, a short bridge, slides, and bars and poles.

The playground for kids over 5 has several slides, pretend window, stepping stones, a rock wall, a steering wheel, a chain climber, a bridge, and lots of bars and poles.

Tire swing, 2 sling swings, and 2 bucket swings

Modified merry-go-round

Tunnel with sand pit

Skate park

Overall this is a fantastic park that has it all! If you want to make a day of it Meramec Caverns is nearby and so is the Riverside Wildlife Center.

Tiffany Park, St. Louis City

Location: 3801 McRee Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110

Website: https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/departments/parks/parks/browse-parks/view-park.cfm?parkID=87

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

This is a smaller park but it has a splash pad, which is a nice bonus. It's just a single jet but it's the only one in this area so that's a good thing. This park is near Botanical Heights in the Tiffany neighborhood. It is quiet and clean and the playground is great.

Covered pavilion

There are 2 baby swings and 2 sling swings

There is a big green space behind the pavilion.

Picnic bench, water fountain, and barbeque pit. Just wish it had restrooms!

The small play structure has a couple slides, a couple drums, a web climber, and some bars and poles.

The large play structure has a tunnel, a bridge, several slides, and tons of bars and poles.

The park is enclosed by a fence and there are rose bushes all along the perimeter.
