Website: https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/parks/parks/browse-parks/view-park.cfm?parkID=68&parkName=O%27Fallon%20Park

Playground Ground Cover: Rubber mats

The park is named after John O'Fallon, a colonel who fought in the War of 1812 and nephew of William Clark. The park is 126.63 acres and has a lake with a boathouse. The lake is stocked with catfish and sunfish. Amenities include basketball courts, tennis courts, softball fields, and a football field. It has a playground, multiple picnic grounds, and a spray pool. The playground is an Unlimited Play Playground which is inclusive for everyone. The playground includes ramps, a rolley slide, saucer swings, boulders, musical instruments, a spinning chair, a rock wall, ADA swings, and various bars and poles. It features an outer space theme that includes a rocket ship, airplane, rubber tile safety surfacing, swings, net climber and is an "out of this world experience".  Also located in the park is a YMCA with both indoor and outdoor pools. There is also exercise equipment along the walking paths.

The splash pad is a small square with pop jets next to the playground, and there is some shade.

These pop jets are near the boathouse.

Kinloch Park, Kinloch

Location: 5541 Marble Ave., Kinloch, MO 63140

Website: https://stlouiscountymo.gov/st-louis-county-departments/parks/places/kinloch-park/

Playground Ground Cover:

Amenities: basketball, open play space, picnic shelter, playground

The coolest thing about this park is the basketball court. In 2017, the park basketball courts were renovated and turned into a piece of art, with murals painted by local artist William LaChance. The project was funded by Project Backboard, a non-profit organization dedicated to using these unique courts renovations as "a way to inspire multiple generations, and get people back together." Here's an overhead view from the website Courts of the World.

"Developed in the mid-1960s, the original park featured a spray pool, playground, lighted ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a picnic shelter. Today, only the shelter and basketball courts remain. The park serves a disadvantaged area of North County and, while once quite popular, the lack of amenities and poor conditions has caused a steep decline in use. The residents of Kinloch deserve a refurbished recreational area for community well-being and, through an online survey, have requested basic amenities such as working restrooms, a renovated picnic shelter equipped with new bar-b-que pits, a playground, a refurbished ball field, and a new walking trail. The Foundation supports the Master Plan put forth by the St. Louis County Parks Department to restore Kinloch Park as a family meeting area and a recreational space for the community. You can help by donating at various membership levels but please be sure to mark your donation specifically for Kinloch Park. Any donation so indicated will be reserved specifically for the work on Kinloch Park." From the St. Louis County Parks Foundation.

They are applying for a grant to redo the park. Stay tuned! I hope it develops so the kids of Kinloch can have a great place to play!

Royal Park, Moline Acres

Location: 2454 Chambers Rd., Moline Acres, MO 63136

Website: https://www.cityofmolineacres.org/departments

Playground Ground Cover: Grass & wood chips

This park has seen better days. The picnic tables are being destroyed and there definitely needs to be more mulch around the merry-go-round. The equipment is older but seems to be in fair shape. There are 3 sling swings, 2 baby swings, several slides, 2 rocking horses, a pretend window, and lots of bars and poles. There are no restrooms and parking is limited.

Pretty sad that people are trying to burn the picnic tables.
