The Great Pumpkin Patch at Kirkwood Farmer's Market

Location: 150 E. Argonne Ave, Kirkwood, MO 63122

Website: https://www.summitproduce.com/kirkwood-farmers-market-fall-fun-zone

This pumpkin patch opens every October at Kirkwood Farmer's Market. It's run by Summit Produce and is open 7 days a week. They charge $6 per child to get in (ages 2-12 and everyone over 12 is free!) The Harvest Market has a ton of great Halloween decor and goodies for sale. There are also food vendors and food trucks there on the weekends. We got bacon cheddar brats and a huge bag of kettle corn and they were delish. We went on opening day and face painting and balloon twisting were also included. They will have special days throughout the month where extras are included, just check their calendar.  In 2019 they added a mining area where kids can pan for gemstones!

Here's what is included with the admission fee:
  • Straw Mountain & Haunted Tunnel
  • HUGE Quadro Slides
  • Needle in the Haystack Game
  • John Deere Tractor Land
  • Corn Crib
  • Fort Summit Slides
  • Lil’ Fort Summit
  • Summit Swing Town
  • Lil' Jumpers
  • Lil' Corn Pool

This isn't a traditional "pumpkin patch" because it's not out at a farm, and it's on a much smaller scale. But if you don't want to drive a long way and want some cute fall photos ops, this is a great option.

Thies Farm and Greenhouses, Normandy

Location: 4215 N. Hanley Rd., St. Louis, MO 63121

Website: https://www.thiesfarm.com/

This Pumpkinland is almost identical to the one in Maryland Heights, but just a tad smaller. In my opinion you can't go wrong with either one. They have tons of haybale fun, a pirate ship, a small petting zoo, slides, pumpkin patch, tractor rides, corn maze, tire swings, zipline, and face and pumpkin painting on the weekend.

Just for clarification purposes, there are TWO different Thies farm companies. Thies Farm was owned by 2 brothers but they split up, so one is now Thies Farm and Market (Maryland Heights) and one is Thies Farm and Greenhouses (Hanley and St. Charles).  All of them have Pumpkinlands and they're all very similar (St. Charles is much smaller than the other 2 locations).
