The Edge Aquatic Center, Ellisville

Location: 225 Kiefer Creek Rd, Ellisville, MO 63021 In Bluebird Park

Website: http://www.ellisville.mo.us/285/The-EDGE-Aquatic-Center

Amenities:
  1. 8 Lane Competition / Lap Pool
  2. Bathhouse
  3. Children's Splash Pool
  4. Concession Stand
  5. Infinity Edge Waterfall
  6. Slide
Normal pool hours are 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. every day.

This is a medium sized facility, which is great because you don't have to walk too far to get to anything. Their prices are good too, a day pass for non residents is not much at all. This tot time is really well suited for toddlers and babies, because there's no deep water at all and it's got a soft surface. It's really just a huge splash pad. There's a large variety of jets and sprayers.

Here's the rest of the facility if you want to do open swim. This outdoor aquatic center opened in 2008 and replaced the City of Ellisville’s aging traditional pool. The facility features an 8 lane competitive pool, two one meter diving boards, zero depth entry leisure pool with unique vanishing edge and underwater benches. A separate play pool has interactive play features.

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

Amenities: picnic shelters, restrooms, 2 playgrounds, basketball courts, soccer fields, softball fields, trails

There are 2 playgrounds here, this is the playground that is at the back of the park and was installed summer 2016.  On this map it's the playground in the lower left corner between shelter 1 and 2.

The new play structure has some stepping stones, a small tunnel, a shop window for pretend play, 2 different slides, a steering wheel, some musical boards, a bridge, and some various bars and poles. The swings are the same, they just redid the poured rubber floor.

 Bathrooms

They are still working on improving the main pavilion, but the playground is finally finished. This is the first playground you see when you enter the park.  There is one playstructure, and it has several slides, a rock wall, a speaker system, a bug board, bridge, and several bars and poles.

The restrooms are closed but there are port-a-pottys.

Carondelet Lions Park, St. Louis City

Location: Bounded by Michigan Ave, Poepping St, Minnesota Ave, and Davis St, St. Louis, MO 63111

Website: https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/departments/parks/parks/browse-parks/view-park.cfm?parkID=23&parkName=Carondelet

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

This playground has seen better days. It's a bare bones park with nothing fancy and it's in need of repair. The rubber floor of the playground is in bad shape and needs to be replaced. There doesn't appear to be any floor except weeds around the smaller play structure and they need to be trimmed.

There are no bathrooms but the park is entirely fenced in and the large play structure is a good one. If they could just make a few repairs it would be a decent park.

The small play structure only has a slide and some bars. There are also 2 ride on toys.

The larger play structure has several different slides, 2 rock walls, pretend store fronts, stepping stones, a bridge, and tons of different bars and poles.

Small pavilion with 2 picnic tables.
