Sunset Hills Aquatic Facility, Sunset Hills

Location:  12512 W. Watson, St. Louis, MO 63127

Website: http://www.sunset-hills.com/Facilities/Facility/Details/Aquatic-Facility-1

Amenities: ADA Accessible, bleacher seats, competition pool, concession stand, diving boards, lazy river, water table, and leisure pool.

You can see from this overhead image that there are 2 areas, the deep competition pool and the lazy river/ kid area. This pool is shallower and has 2 whirlpools which you can see as the circles across from each other. The one on the left has buckets that spill over every few seconds and there are pop jets and zero entry kid friendly areas over here. They also have a water table for toddlers with tons of rubber duckies and plastic animals!

I've never seen this at a pool before!

The competition pool with bleacher seats and 2 diving boards

The night I was here was was a special event called Family Dinner and Concert Night. They had a band playing here and some food trucks. They opened the pool up to the public at $4 per person. Normally they don't allow non residents in, and they don't do a tot time, so I recommend coming here for this event! They have a few more happening over the summer.

Such a great pool! We really enjoyed it.

Laurel Park, St. Peters

Location: 181 Driftwood Ln,  St. Peters, MO 63376

Amenities: playground, picnic shelters, trails, outdoor swimming pool, basketball

Website: http://www.stpetersmo.net/st-peters-parks.aspx#laurel

Playground ground cover: poured rubber and wood chips under the swings

There are 3 playgrounds at Laurel park, as well as an outdoor swimming pool. The playgrounds are brand new because some jerks set fire to the old playground in 2016.

They set that tunnel on fire so now they filled in the tunnel.

They now have 2 expression swings and 2 baby swings. Up on the higher playground they have 4 sling swings.

When you first walk up you can see the smaller of the 2 playgrounds on the left, and the bigger kid playground up the stairs. On the right of the stairs is a cool musical playground filled with electronic things to play with.

Musical playground filled with drums, bells, and all kinds of cool things.

Looking down at the smaller playground from up above. There are tunnels, slides, rock walls, and bars and poles.

The bigger playground has lots of cool climbing things, slides, rock walls, a tunnel, boards, a maze board, and a bridge.

Pirate’s Crusade Mini Golf, South County

Location: 11801 Tesson Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128

Website: https://concordbowl.com/arizonaactionpark/mini-golf/

This family fun center has fun for the whole family. We did mini golf, but they also have 32 lanes of bowling, batting cages, sand volleyball, and a small arcade. It costs $10 per person to play 18 holes. This place was busy when we were here with tons of people inside bowling and a birthday party going on. They have trivia nights and offer kid camps as well.

You go inside to this counter to pay and get your balls, clubs, and scorecard.

Entrance to course

Follow the blue arrows on the ground to the first hole

Each hole has a wanted poster next to it with a blue number that signifies the hole number. The kids really liked the wild west theme here.

The course is challenging which my kids loved, but it might be too difficult for preschoolers.

Around the 10th hole you walk up a hill into a cave. There is a hole in the cave behind the waterfall! The kids were freaking out! You have to hit the ball past a fake spider too. There are cave drawings on the wall and you can look out past the waterfall.

This hole was cool with the snakes

You can see there was some graffiti on the wall that has been blocked out. I guess mini golf places are not too profitable because they always seem run down.

This hole you have to shoot into a canoe.

Nice train photo op but my kids were too short. They need a stool back there.

Looking out from behind the waterfall.

We had a great time and definitely recommend checking this place out!
