Dickherber Farms, Dardenne Prairie

This farm has a petting zoo, a corn maze, and a small playground. In the petting zoo, they have mini donkeys, a Tennessee Walker horse, goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, kittens, cats, ducks, pilgrim geese, black and Red Angus cattle, and one cute piggie.

Admission to the farm during our Corn Maze Season (September through November) is $8 per person and children 3 and under are free.

Thies Farm, St. Charles

This location is part of Thies Farm and Greenhouses which is with the North Hanley location (the Maryland Heights location is the Thies Farm and Market and is a separate entity). New for 2019 they opened Pumpkinland. It's much smaller than the other 2 locations but costs less at $4 per child vs. $6.75. Included in this is a really cute mini golf area, the straw play area, and a corn maze. They also have a miniature train layout in the greenhouse.

This is not a true pumpkin patch but you can get pumpkins here and have some fall fun.

I think this place is best suited for toddlers, I don't think there's enough here to keep big kids entertained.

Valley Farms, Foristell

Valley Farms was founded in 2003 and they do a lot of weddings. It has a rustic, but new vibe. The place feels very clean and and well taken care of.  They're open every Sat 9-2pm, and Sunday 10-5pm. Every October they have farm festival weekends, and it's free to enter. This is what they offer with prices:

Free: Walk to the patch and pick your own pumpkin, indoor mini barn hay maze with slide, pumpkin bowling, petting zoo, and tire swings.


  • Barrel Train- $3 per person (5 mins)
  • Hawk Ridge Hay Ride $3 per person (15 mins)
  • Panning for gold- $8 per person
  • Bounce house- $3 per person

Barrel train- Their claim to fame is that they were painted by the man who paints all the art work at Jimmy Buffet's restaurants.
