Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber

Central Park in Chesterfield has a very large playground with areas for all ages. The park also has an aquatic center, an outdoor amphitheater, and a creek.

There is a huge parking lot here and the playground is right next to the aquatic center.

I love that they have tons of seating for adults and they're all covered by huge umbrellas!

The main structure is huge and has ramps, bridges, tunnels, tic tac toe boards, maze boards, a zip line, a rock wall, and tons of bars and poles.

They have 2 sets of swings containing an adaptive swing, sling swing, baby swing, and expression swing.

 Restroom building

There are 2 covered pavilions- one at each end of the playground.

Right across from this park is the sculpture called The Awakening- Buried Giant. This statue consists of five pieces that depict a man trying to free himself from the earth. It's really cool for photo ops.

The creek is down the hill from the playground, and there's a storybook walk along the way.

Des Peres Park has 2 very nice playgrounds located next to each other. One is designed for younger children, and the other is for kids 5 and up.  There are 2 regular swings and 2 baby swings. The larger playground has several slides, a climbing wall, zip line, pretend window, maze boards, ramps, and a sprayground (seasonal). The smaller playground has a free-standing pirate ship area, ramps, steering wheels, slides, maze boards tic tac toe boards, and a spinner thing,  The button to turn on the sprayground is by the restrooms - there is no sign to direct you to the button. There's also a great little trail that goes around a lake, with a wooden boardwalk. There are usually ducks and geese to watch in the lake.

Here are photos of the large playground.
