Citygarden, Downtown St. Louis

Location:
Downtown St. Louis, between 8th Street to the east and 10th Street to the west, and Chestnut Street to the north and Market Street to the south. 801 Market St, St. Louis MO 63101

Amenities: sprayground, wading pool, cafe open for lunch and dinner, sculpture park

Website: http://www.citygardenstl.org/

Open sunrise to 10 pm, the city garden offers a striking green space in the center of downtown St. Louis. The park is free but parking is metered (until 7 pm). Kids will love the huge sprayground and wading pool. Bring a picnic and relax in the grass. Parking is tricky when it's crowded, since it's on the street, and you do get the occasional homeless person joining you in the wading pool. Overall though, it's mostly families enjoying some outdoor time together. Also the only restrooms are port a pottys. There is some really cool sculpture here too.

Also nearby is the new Kiener plaza. They have a smaller splashpad but they also have a new fenced in playground.
