Kircher Park in Eureka has tons of open grassy space to run around, with a smallish playground suitable for preschoolers and school-aged kids (as my 3 year old put it, there are "big, scary slides"). The playground has 3 "big, scary slides," a smaller slide and a preschool slide. There's also a bouncy thing to jump on and hand-over-hand bars. The park has 2 large picnic shelters, plus a small gazebo shelter with one table in it. There is a trail that connects it to Route 66 State Park, which has many options for walking and biking. The basketball goal is a home hoop that is chained to the bike rack so it can't be stolen. The St. Louis Live Steamers do public rides occasionally, I hope to attend one next month and write a review!
