Simpson County park features a playground suitable for preschoolers and older (not toddlers, as there are no swings, and the only straight slide is accessible only by a ladder that is too hard for toddlers to climb). Older kids will enjoy this playground, however, as it is 3 stories high and features 2 large slides from the top of the structure. There is also a climbing wall next to the large play structure. Adjacent to the playground is a water fountain, a picnic shelter, and restrooms (no changing tables). The park features a great paved nature trail that is suitable for young bicycle riders and strollers. It connects to the Meramec Greenway network of trails.
