Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber
Oak Knoll is a very picturesque park with a rich history (you can read it in detail on their website). It's the second biggest park in Clayton and includes a beautiful little lake with a fountain in the middle and is home to turtles and ducks you can feed, a sunken garden, and lovely walking trails. Also on the grounds is the Clayton Early Childhood Center. You enter the park off of Big Bend and the playground is visible from the parking lot. This playground was redone in 2014 and it's much better. The design mimics nature- there is an acorn you can crawl in, logs, turtles, snails, and a canoe. They have a saucer swing, modified merry-go-round, and musical instruments. It's an inclusive playground and completely fenced-in. The playground is nice and shady and we love strolling around on the trails and feeding the ducks as well. I didn't see a bathroom there but there are 2 buildings nearby that might let you use their facilities.
