Wild Animal Adventure Park, Stanton

Location: 2719 North Service Rd. East, Stanton, MO 63080

Website: http://wildanimaladventurepark.com/

Wild Animal Adventure Park is a business that opened in December 2018. They are visible from westbound Highway 44 near the Meramec Caverns exit. I honestly thought I was visiting the Riverside Wildlife Center (opened in 1994), but I was not. It's confusing because they are both wild animal places near Meramec Caverns. However after we left here and I was driving to the caverns on Highway W, I passed this building and understood that I had gotten the two places confused. After comparing them online I found that they are very similar.

The current admission rates are $11 for adults, kids under 8 are $8, and kids under 3 are free. The website claims that you can handle almost all the animals but I didn't find that to be the case. We were there on a Friday morning and no one offered to let us hold any animals.  Maybe it's more interactive on the weekends?

The inside of the building is filled with reptiles on one side and aquatic animals on the other.

Horseshoe crabs

Sting rays and bamboo sharks

Blue crab

Lionfish

Puffer fish

Reptile room

Scorpion

Tarantula

After exploring the inside we headed outside to see the rest of the animals.

Llama

Feeding the horse and cow. They asked us when we arrived if we wanted to purchase a little bowl of food so of course we said yes.

Arctic fox and another kind of fox. The artic fox was missing a front leg.

Wolf

Emus

Porcupines

Picnic area

Siberian tiger and white tiger

Small play structure that has a chain climber, slides, rock wall, and various bars and poles.

There is a free standing zip line and another climber.

Alligator

Dingo

Goat

African Serval

Wallaby

Bunnies

New baby lemur

As far as I can tell, this place is very similar to Riverside Wildlife Center, they have almost the same kinds of animals and are within a mile of each other. Riverside costs a bit less and has been around longer, but they both offer similar interactive experiences with wild animals. They both have camps, special events, and do parties. If your kids like animals Big Joel's and Critter Lane are also worth a visit.

Added in 2022 was a Jurassic-themed 9-hole mini golf course! The cost is $4 in addition to admission.
