Oglesby Park, Foristell

Location: 2801 W. Meyer Rd., Foristell, MO 63348

Website: https://www.sccmo.org/2223/Oglesby-Park

This is the newest park in St. Charles County and it is huge at just under 200 acres. It offers trails, shelters, and a playground. This view is from the parking lot so it's a bit of a walk and it's in full sun.

This park is named after Benjamin Oglesby who was a slave and brought to Missouri in 1837. He worked on a farm in this area. in 1864 he fled and enlisted in the union army. After the war, he was able to finance a large land purchase and they farmed there for years until the turn of the century. After his death, the land was passed to his children.

There is a restroom building near the pavilion and one near the playground too.

The park just opened so the workers are still laying down the sod. But the playground itself is finished.

This cabled climber is really cool and different, I've never seen such a large one at any other park.

If you keep walking you'll come to the main playground area.

The seat to the left is stationary but the seat on the right spins.

The smaller play structure has several slides, a rock wall, a maze board, and stepping stones.

2 expression swings and 2 baby swings

Cool 4-person bouncer, I've never seen one like this with individual high-back seats.

Saucer swing

2 ADA swings and 4 sling swings

The main "big" playground has everything including ramps, maze boards, stepping stones, slides, netted climbers, and tons of bars and poles.

Musical instruments
