Towne Park, Foristell

Location: 100 Towne Park Dr., Foristell, MO 63348

Website: https://www.sccmo.org/739/Towne-Park

Playground Ground Cover: Wood chips

From the website, "Rich in St. Charles County history, this 109-acre park features a reconstructed 1800s historical homestead, formerly known as the “Pink Plantation,” and features paved and natural surface trails, a large fishing pond, picnic areas, a forest-themed playground and a series of interlinked scenic rain gardens for the public to enjoy. Experience history, nature and education all coming together at Towne Park, including the only certified nature explore classroom in St. Charles County."

Nature Classrooms are amazing, here's a post about the rest of them in the area. The nature classroom is at the end of the post after the playground.

 Restrooms and pavilion

 Large parking lot

This playground is so cool! It's one big play structure and it's nature themed. It has several slides, a rock wall, a periscope, a climbing wall with a rope, a modified rock wall, speakers, stepping stones, a rope climber, and lots of bars and poles.

On the other side of this lake is the nature classroom. It's amazing!!!!

Periscope

Follow the sign to the nature classroom. It's a very short walk from the parking lot.

You can ride this bike and it makes water come out and run down the chute into the creek. The kids loved it!

So many fun musical instruments here!

I highly recommend this park, it's got everything kids need for imaginative play.

Rotary Park, Foristell

Location: 2577 W. Meyer Rd., Foristell, MO 63348

Website: https://www.wentzvillemo.gov/parks-and-recreation/parks-facilities/find-a-park-or-facility/rotary-park/

Playground Ground Cover: Poured rubber

Amenities:
  • Amphitheater
  • Cattlemen's Association Pavilion
  • Community Club Pavilion (Upper Area)
  • Kolb Exhibit Hall
  • Lions Club Pavilion (Lower Area)
  • Playground
  • Pedestrian Trail (1.3 miles, non-motorized)
This huge park hosts the Renaissance Fair and St. Charles County Fair every year. I'm confused about why it's considered Foristell because it's clearly in Wentzville and under Wentzville's Parks and Rec listing.

This lake is stocked with fish and many people enjoy fishing here.

Ampitheatre

The playground is just average. It has 2 baby swings and 2 sling swings. There is one play structure designed for kids aged 2-12.

The play structure has tunnels, slides, pretend storefronts, chain climbers, a steering wheel, and lots of bars and poles.

Bangert Pool, Florissant

Location: 275 S. New Florissant Rd, Florissant, MO 63031

Website: http://www.florissantmo.com/topic/subtopic.php?topicid=27&structureid=20

Bangert Pool, located inside Bangert Park, is the older of Florissant’s outdoor swimming pools. This pool has a zero depth entry, water play structure, Aqua Zip’N, 1 and 3 meter diving boards, splash pad and large open swimming area.

The pool is very long with the zero entry and kids playground at the south end. The pool gets deeper as you go north. The deep end has 2 diving boards and lap lanes. There is a big tube slide that you have to be 48" to go down. There is also 1 smaller slide. There is a splash pad area but it wasn't turned on when I was there.

There used to be 2 small blue slides but now there is only one. It says max 225 pounds.

The children's play structure was fun! Lots of fountains, a tunnel, sprayers, and a slide.
