Central Park, Maplewood

Location: Bounded by Walter and Elm Aves, Maplewood, MO 63143

Website: https://www.cityofmaplewood.com/government/departments/maplewood_local_parks___amenities.php

Playground Ground Cover: Poured Rubber and Wood Chips

This is a long skinny park and the playground takes up most of it. It is completely fenced in and gated which I love! There is one big play structure that has slides, bars, and various poles. Then there is another area on wood chips that has a turtle you can climb on, a tube tunnel, and a dino rocker.

Bangert Park, Florissant

Location: 275 S. New Florissant Rd, Florissant, MO 63031

Playground Ground Cover: Wood Chips

There are 2 playgrounds here. The first is visible from New Florissant Rd and the second is behind the library. From their website:

"Bangert Park contains 13 acres.  It is the oldest park in Florissant. Located in the park is the newly renovated competition style outdoor swimming pool.  The park contains 2 pavilions that have electricity that are available for rent.

Pavilion number one has a Sherman Tank and a lighted roller hockey area close by.  Also there is a sand volleyball court and 12 horseshoe courts for your enjoyment.  The multipurpose court has been turned into a great place to play soccer including small goals.  Each pavilion has a playground next to it.  The horseshoe court is newly renovated.

Pavilion number two also has electricity and a wonderful playground. This is a perfect spot for those warm summer day since the area is covered with trees to keep you cool.  This pavilion is located behind the library."

My kids loved the tank! There was sand all around it, which they also enjoyed. The playground is small, it has a xylophone, 2 baby swings, 2 sling swings, several slides, and a tunnel.

You can see the sand volleyball court behind the swings

The pool post can be found here

The following photos are of the second playground. This playground has a newer playstructure, an old school metal jungle gym, swings, and another older play structure made of wood and metal.

There are numerous slides, swings, monkey bars, and all the usual equipment you'd expect to see.

From the smaller kids playground you can see the bigger kids playground in the background. I'm not sure why they're so spread apart?
